Hamble River Raid

What a lovely surprise last Thursday, Andi was opening the sheds when he was presented with a cheque for £250 by Hamble River Raid. Thank You so much this will go towards our new workshop extension.

The Hamble River Raid was initially created to raise funds for a new roof to the Hamble Parish building used by Hamble Sea Scouts

Thanks to Bernie Wright, Hamble resident and one time mayor of Eastleigh this target was reached only to be replaced by further requirements to ensure the supply equipment to this excellent cause and in due course to other worthy local groups & charities chosen by the raid committee.

The Hamble River Raid has grown to be a major local annual spectacle on the river, uniting the immediate community and those from further afield in healthy fun on our most precious resource, the River Hamble and raising funds for local causes.
